100 Outstanding Mentors Honored in 'Be, Don’t Just Seem!' Competition
The All-Russian competition 'Be, Don’t Just Seem!' has concluded, honouring 100 outstanding mentors from across the country. Five mentors from Nizhny Novgorod were among the winners, including Valery Malinin who took home the 'Leading Mentor' title. The competition, organised by the Russian Movement of Schoolchildren, saw over 70,000 participants from 79 regions in 2025.
Mentors presented their projects and initiatives in patriotic education over nine months. Aleksandr Tarakanov was awarded the title of 'Honored Mentor'. In the 'Experienced Mentor' category, Irina Korsakova emerged victorious. Meanwhile, Dmitry Pyrkov and Aleksandr Yeremin won in the 'Our Own Mentor' category. Winners will now join a talent pool for youth policy initiatives, undergo training, and enjoy educational journeys across Russia.
Lev Skitnevsky, Deputy Minister of Youth Policy of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, congratulated the winning mentors, highlighting their significant contributions to patriotic education.
The 'Be, Don’t Just Seem!' competition has recognised and rewarded exceptional mentors for their dedication and impact on patriotic education. The winners, including Valery Malinin, Aleksandr Tarakanov, Irina Korsakova, Dmitry Pyrkov, and Aleksandr Yeremin, will now have the opportunity to further develop their skills and contribute to youth policy initiatives.
